1. Fans aren’t your friends; a client can’t be your friend. They’ll lose respect for you and start taking liberties: “You have to do this, do that,” “Why do you spend so much time on social media?”, “You have to sell your products at exorbitant prices.”

2. Your friends aren’t your fans. I have many friends from before I started my artistic career, and I see them online, but they never share or like my posts. At first, it really annoyed me, but then I understood that I can’t force my friends to help me with my social media if they don’t want to. They’re my friends, not my clients.
